IPO Materials
The Investing Pays Off initiative enthusiastically supports our volunteer efforts. One important way it accomplishes this is by funding programs that develop practical financial
readiness materials, such as the following.
Award-winning curriculum creator the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship and Merrill Lynch have developed
Investing Pays Off: It's never too early to start! This entertaining and informative curriculum, designed for
use by volunteers, revolves around 15 core principles and essential strategies for young people to manage their futures. Each
strategy can be presented in a 45-minute session and targets three different age levels: 7-10, 11-14 and 15-18.

"On the Money," a show from the popular PBS teen series In The Mix, helps youngsters get savvy about their money. Now, you can
help kids in your community boost their own financial know-how.
In the Mix Curriculum: "On the Money"
Merrill Lynch and the lovable Sesame Street characters are reaching out to our youngest audiences, ages 3-6, with lessons for life. Elmo provides tips for introducing children to the basics
of saving, spending and planning, on a poster in English and Spanish. And a new financial fitness curriculum will assist volunteers, parents and caregivers in their interaction with youngsters.
The methods are simple, easy-to-use, integrated into daily activities and, best of all, fun.
A companion website at http://www.sesameworkshop.org engages youngsters in interactive play with Elmo, Zoe and a lemonade
stand on Sesame Street. Supplementary materials help caregivers teach kids more about patience, planning, responsibility and saving.
